“CRISTAL” 10-day cruise (Rhodes, Patmos, Ephesus, Constantinoupolis, Thessaloniki, Volos, Piraeus, Heraklion) 29 Μarch – 08 Αpril 2009

We are pleased to announce that we will be operating an exclusive 10-day cruise with the flagship of our fleet, the luxurious cruise ship CRISTAL. The cruise will depart from Limassol on 29 March calling at a number of major Greek ports and for the first time will include visits to Ephesus and Constantinople in Turkey. Our first call will be in Rhodes where we have the opportunity to walk around the old town, see the castle and take the excursion to Lindos. Our next call will be in Patmos where we can visit the Monastery of St. John and the Grotto of the Apocalypse. The cruise continues to Ephesus, one of the most important archaeological sites in the Mediterranean. We then sail on to Constantinoupolis (overnight stay) where we visit among others, the famous former Basilica of Ayia Sofia, the Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace, the official residence of the Ottoman Sultans. We also visit the Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarchate. Our next call will be in Thessaloniki (overnight stay), which is known for its White Tower, the Church of St. Demetrios and the famous area called “Ladadika” with its numerous traditional tavernas. The cruise also includes visits to Volos with an excursion to the breathtaking Monasteries at Meteora, Piraeus where we can visit the Acropolis and other famous sites, and Heraklion with an excursion to the Minoan Palace of Knossos.
